Glass Clock privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Glass Clock is a home-screen clock and weather widget made by Sylco Labs (sylcolabs.com). It has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and the developer runs no servers that receive your data.

What leaves your phone, and where it goes

DataSent toWhyKept by Glass Clock?
The weather location you chose (a city's coordinates, or your approximate device location rounded to about 1 km) and your own API keyThe weather service you picked: the Met Office Weather DataHub or OpenWeatherTo get your forecastOnly on your phone, as the last forecast
City names you type into the city searchAndroid's built-in place search (provided by your phone's system services)To find the cityNo
Calendar links you add (an .ics or webcal address from any calendar service)The address in the linkTo download that calendarOnly on your phone

You use the weather service with your own free account and API key, under that service's terms and privacy policy; Glass Clock is not a party to it. Your API key is stored encrypted on your phone (with a key held in the Android Keystore) and is only ever sent to the service it belongs to.

These services receive your IP address, as any web request does. Glass Clock sends nothing else with these requests: no identifiers, no device details beyond a generic app user agent.

What stays on your phone

Permissions

You can withdraw any of these at any time in Android settings, and uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.

Purchases

If you buy an in-app upgrade, Google Play handles the payment. Glass Clock only learns whether the upgrade is owned on your Google account; it never sees your payment details.

Children

Glass Clock is not directed at children under 13.
